Our hourly rates run from $170 to $220 depending on truck size and how many movers your job needs. A two-bedroom unit typically lands around 4-6 hours with two movers, and a three-bedroom house around 6-8. Larger homes, stairs and multi-day jobs get a bigger crew or more than one truck. Use the online estimate to get a time range for your specific move.

Interstate costs depend on distance, volume and whether you need a dedicated truck or a shared load. As a guide, Brisbane or Gold Coast to another state generally falls between $2,500 and $15,000. We quote interstate jobs as a fixed price in writing, with the delivery window and deposit confirmed with it.

Yes. A 2-hour minimum applies to every booking, plus a single call-out fee that is confirmed in writing with your quote. What we don't do is bill depot-to-depot travel time on top: paid time runs from loading at your pickup address through to unloading at your delivery address, not from when the truck leaves our yard.

Your agreed truck, crew, moving equipment and packing materials are included. Packing materials are included across our bookings, including materials you keep. Full packing, unpacking, putting belongings away and furniture assembly must be included in the agreed scope; the working time is charged at the agreed rate. Rubbish and packaging removal is separate.

The online estimate shows a time range and crew size rather than a dollar total. Your written quote states the hourly rate and one call-out fee together, so the call-out is never added on top of a total you have already been given. The result remains an estimate based on the details supplied; we confirm the scope and pricing before you book.

Yes. For an hourly booking, travel from the pickup address to the delivery address is part of the paid moving time. This is separate from the call-out component that covers dispatching the crew to your booking.

They can affect both the working time and the hourly rate. Send photos of the stairs, turns and access route before booking so we can assess the job and agree the rate with you.

Nearby local moves are often booked without one. A deposit may be required for a distant pickup and is required for interstate moves. Any amount is agreed before booking and credited towards your move.

Contact us as early as possible. Subject to availability, a deposit can be transferred to a new agreed date and credited towards that move. If you cancel without rescheduling, our policy is to retain the deposit unless a refund is required by law. We do not charge an additional cancellation payment; where no deposit was taken, there is no cancellation fee. If we cancel for a reason on our side, we refund the deposit. Usually the ordinary rate applies. Rates can differ for particular dates or operating conditions, and any difference is discussed before you agree to the booking. Ask us to confirm the rate for your date.

No. Two movers are common for local jobs, but the load, access and schedule can require a larger crew or multiple trucks. The team is selected for the booking rather than fixed by a bedroom count alone.

Yes, by prior assessment. We move upright and grand pianos, slate billiard tables, jacuzzis, safes and workshop gear. Please tell us at booking about anything over 100kg and send photos of the item and both access routes. It changes the crew size, the equipment we bring and sometimes the price, so we agree it before the day rather than on it.

Yes. You or an authorised person needs to be present at both the pickup and delivery addresses. You don't have to lift anything, but someone needs to be able to answer "which room does this go in?" and do the final walk-through.

Our own team carries out most moves. Additional workers or a transport partner may be involved when the size, schedule or interstate arrangements require it. SwiftMove remains responsible to you for the service we agree, and the crew and transport arrangement are confirmed for the booking.

Bank transfer, cash and all major cards. Payment is due on completion unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. Where payment is taken before the move is finished, we reconcile it against the final bill and refund any difference.

We carry carrier's liability insurance covering eligible items up to AUD $3,500 per item. Items you packed yourself may have limited cover where the damage was caused by inadequate packing, because we can't verify how they were packed. For high-value goods we recommend arranging separate transit insurance, and we're happy to point you in the right direction.

Keep jewellery, passports, medication and important documents with you personally. We can't transport flammables, gas bottles, aerosols or other hazardous goods, and we don't recommend packing perishables or live plants for long-distance moves.

Two to three weeks is comfortable, especially for end-of-month and Saturday slots which book out first. Short-notice work is accepted where a suitable crew is free, so if you need someone this week, call and ask; we'll tell you straight away.

We keep moving. Brisbane weather is Brisbane weather. The crew carries extra shrink-wrap and floor protection, and we adjust the loading order so soft furnishings stay dry. We'd only reschedule for genuinely unsafe conditions.
