Brisbane ↔ Sydney
Around 900km, in either direction. The corridor we discuss most often; availability and the delivery window are confirmed for your dates rather than run to a fixed timetable.
Interstate
SwiftMove arranges interstate moves to and from Brisbane, including discussions for the Brisbane–Sydney route in either direction. The right arrangement depends on your inventory, dates, access and destination.
We confirm the transport option, delivery window and pricing before you book, rather than promising one schedule for every interstate move. A fixed quote covers the agreed inventory, route and access.

A dedicated truck is allocated to one customer's load. A backload or shared-load arrangement uses available capacity alongside other work and may suit customers with flexible dates. Neither is chosen from the route alone; we check volume and timing first.
Our team carries out much of our work, and an interstate transport partner may be used where the arrangements require it, including handing the load to a contractor. SwiftMove remains responsible to you for the agreed service, and we confirm the arrangement for your booking.
Every item is listed and ticked off at both ends. Over 1,700 kilometres that list is the only thing that proves what went on the truck, which is exactly why local movers who skip it should worry you.
A run to Toowong and a run to Melbourne need different packing. Interstate loads get blankets, shrink-wrap and strapping on every face, because the load is moving and settling for days.
The window is agreed for your route, dates and transport option rather than promised as a standard number of days. If it moves, you get a phone call rather than silence.
If the agreed run takes longer than we estimated, that is our problem. If the inventory or access changes, the variation is discussed before additional work. Interstate bookings require a deposit, confirmed before you commit.
Collection and delivery windows are confirmed individually and depend on whether you're on a shared load or a dedicated truck.

Most common
Around 1,700km. The most common interstate job we quote, and the one where the difference between a shared load and a dedicated truck shows up most in the price.
Quoted the same way: listed, wrapped and priced as a fixed sum in writing for the agreed scope, with the transport arrangement confirmed before you commit to anything.
As a guide, an interstate move out of Brisbane or the Gold Coast generally falls between $2,500 and $15,000 depending on distance, volume and whether you need a dedicated truck. We put the actual figure, the delivery window and the deposit in writing before you book.

A backload or shared-load arrangement uses available truck capacity alongside other work. It may suit a move with flexible dates, but availability, timing and price need to be confirmed for your route and inventory. Ask us to compare the available arrangement with a dedicated truck before you decide.
A dedicated truck is allocated to your load for the agreed journey. Discuss any fixed collection or delivery deadline before booking so the available arrangement can be assessed against it. Confirm the price and delivery window in writing.
Tell us your dates and how much is going, and we'll say which one makes sense. If a backload does the same job for less, that's what we'll quote. Send a complete inventory, collection and delivery suburbs, preferred dates and access at both ends; if the volume is uncertain, we may need a closer assessment before confirming capacity.

We agree the window for your route, dates and transport option. Dedicated and shared-load bookings can have different timing, and we do not promise a standard number of days for all destinations. Ask for your booking's confirmed arrangements; you get the window in writing with the quote, and a phone call if it changes.
Yes. A contractor may be involved, and SwiftMove remains responsible to you for the agreed service. We confirm the transport arrangement for your booking rather than making a blanket promise of the same truck and crew from collection to delivery.
We carry carrier's liability insurance covering eligible items up to AUD $3,500 per item. Items you packed yourself may have limited cover where the damage was caused by inadequate packing, because we can't verify how they were packed. For high-value goods on a long haul we recommend arranging separate transit insurance.
No flammables, gas bottles, aerosols or other hazardous goods — that is a legal restriction, not a preference. Keep jewellery, passports, medication and important documents with you personally. We also don't recommend sending perishables or live plants on a multi-day run; several states have quarantine rules on plants and soil as well.
Yes, at either end. Tell us the facility and the unit number when you book so we can check access hours and whether a truck of our size can get to the roller door, because a lot of storage sites can't take one.
Moving from Brisbane to Sydney, Melbourne or farther away requires different pricing, timing and protection than a local move. Here is what to arrange.
