What the hourly rate actually covers

The truck and the fuel
Truck size is matched to the job, and fuel is in the rate. There is no fuel levy added at the bottom of the invoice.

Trolleys, blankets, straps and wrap
All of it travels on the truck as standard. You are not hiring equipment by the hour or paying for blankets you never see again.

Taking it apart and putting it back
Beds, tables, wardrobes and flat-pack come apart at one end and go back together at the other. Basic disassembly and reassembly is in the rate.

A crew that does this every day
The crew is trained in-house on real moves. Two movers is the usual local crew; a larger home, stairs or a multi-day job gets three or more, from a fleet of four trucks.

One call-out fee, not a depot clock
Most Brisbane removalists run the clock from the moment the truck leaves their depot until it gets back. We charge a single call-out fee, quoted in writing, and paid time runs from loading at your pickup through to unloading at your delivery address.

Real ranges, not a teaser rate. Your number depends on how much is going, how far it has to be carried and how much is packed before we arrive.
Most common
3 bedrooms
$180 an hour with two movers, typically 6–8 hours. A third mover usually joins a whole-house three-bedroom job with stairs, and you'll hear that when you book, not on the day.
4+ bedrooms and larger
$220 an hour with three movers, usually 8–11 hours. Larger homes may need more people, a bigger truck or more than one day: send photos or a video walk-through and we'll plan it in writing.
Every job has a 2-hour minimum and one call-out fee, confirmed in writing with your quote. Packing materials used for your booking, including the ones you keep, are included. Stairs can change the hourly rate, so send access photos before booking.
We sort out the building before the day, not on it
Most of the time lost on a Brisbane move is not lifting. It is a lift that was never booked, a loading dock somebody else has until eleven, or a body corporate that wanted three days' notice.
So we ask about access when you book: which floor, how far from the truck to the door, whether there is a lift and who controls it, and where a 6-metre truck can legally park. If the building needs paperwork or a booking, tell us what it requires and we'll confirm our part before the day.
None of that is billable time. It is the reason the crew arrives ready to work instead of ready to wait.

How much do removalists cost in Brisbane?
Our hourly rates run from $170 to $220 depending on truck size and how many movers your job needs. A two-bedroom unit typically lands around 4-6 hours with two movers, and a three-bedroom house around 6-8. Use the instant quote to get a range for your specific move.
What is included in my moving booking?
Your agreed truck, crew, moving equipment and packing materials are included. Packing materials are included across our bookings, including materials you keep. Full packing, unpacking, putting belongings away and furniture assembly must be included in the agreed scope; the working time is charged at the agreed rate. Rubbish and packaging removal is separate.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes. A 2-hour minimum applies to every booking, plus a single call-out fee that is confirmed in writing with your quote. What we don't do is bill depot-to-depot travel time on top: paid time runs from loading at your pickup address through to unloading at your delivery address, not from when the truck leaves our yard.
Do stairs change the price?
They can affect both the working time and the hourly rate. Send photos of the stairs, turns and access route before booking so we can assess the job and agree the rate with you.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
Yes. There's one call-out fee per booking, quoted in writing before you commit, and it covers getting the truck and crew to you. It is not the same as the depot-to-depot travel time most removalists add to the hourly bill at both ends of the job. We don't charge that.
Which Brisbane suburbs do you cover?
All of Greater Brisbane, from the inner city and the Valley out to Chermside and North Lakes, across to Kenmore and Ipswich, and south through Mount Gravatt, Sunnybank and Springwood. We also run to the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba and interstate.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable, especially for end-of-month and Saturday slots which book out first. That said, we keep capacity for short-notice work. If you need someone this week, call and ask.
Do you require a deposit?
Nearby local moves are often booked without one. A deposit may be required for a distant pickup and is required for interstate moves. Any amount is agreed before booking and credited towards your move.
Are weekends and public holidays the same price?
Usually the ordinary rate applies. Rates can differ for particular dates or operating conditions, and any difference is discussed before you agree to the booking. Ask us to confirm the rate for your date.
