House Removalists Brisbane Who Plan the Whole Move

Moving a house is not one job. It is a sequence: access, packing, furniture preparation, loading order, transport, unloading and putting each item in the right room. SwiftMove plans that sequence before the truck reaches your driveway, so moving day is spent moving rather than discovering problems.

Is this the right SwiftMove service?

From compact one-bedroom homes to four-bedroom-plus family moves, we match the crew and vehicle to the volume, access and deadline. A standard local move usually uses two movers and a truck; larger whole-house moves, difficult stairs or heavy items may need a third mover so the job finishes safely and efficiently.

Large home moves and bookings over several days

SwiftMove can plan larger family homes and multi-room apartments around the full inventory rather than a standard two-person package. List the contents of garages, storage rooms and outdoor areas as well as the main rooms. Tell us about heavy furniture, a piano, stairs, access restrictions and any deadline for handing over the property.

Our fleet has four trucks ranging from 20 to 42 cubic metres. Most moves use two people, while a larger job may require three movers, multiple vehicles or a larger team. We confirm the arrangement for your booking after assessing the load and access. A truck's nominal capacity is not a promise that a particular number of rooms will fit in one load.

If you need packing before the move, unpacking afterwards or work spread over several days, include that in the first enquiry. Those tasks need time in the schedule and an agreed scope, rather than an assumption that they fit into the loading day.

Packing through to putting belongings away

You can ask SwiftMove to combine packing and unpacking, moving, putting belongings into cupboards and furniture reassembly. Packing materials are included for the booking. Labour is charged at the agreed rate, and we confirm which tasks are included before work begins. Removal of used packaging or rubbish is a separate service with time and disposal charges.

Cleaning is not part of the moving booking either. To have the home you are leaving or the one you are moving into cleaned, ask about cleaning with your move and include your pickup, delivery and key-handover times.

A large move with a grand piano

On an Auchenflower to Gold Coast booking, our team moved approximately 80 cubic metres using one truck over two trips. The complete job took around 13 hours and included a grand piano delivered to a third-floor destination. Read the moving story for the details and why another large move needs its own assessment.

What our Brisbane house moving service includes

The agreed truck and crew, fuel, moving blankets, straps, trolleys and shrink-wrap are part of the hourly service. We can complete basic furniture disassembly and reassembly where it is discussed in advance. At delivery, boxes and furniture are placed by room, and an authorised person completes the final walk-through before the crew leaves.

A house move starts with access

Tell us about steep or narrow driveways, low branches, restricted street parking, stairs, long carries, gated entries and settlement timing. A large truck is not automatically the best truck if it cannot reach the property. Photos or a short video let us choose equipment and crew size before the clock starts.

Prepare the home without overpacking

Cartons should close flat, remain liftable and be labelled by destination room. Keep medication, identity documents, jewellery, keys, chargers and settlement papers with you. Fridges, washing machines and outdoor equipment need advance preparation, while gas bottles, flammables and other hazardous goods cannot travel in the removal truck.

Moving day without the usual surprises

We confirm the scope, date and key access details before arrival. The crew protects and loads the largest pieces in an order that supports safe transport and efficient unloading. If a fixed settlement time or key handover controls the day, tell us when requesting the quote so the schedule is built around it rather than treated as an afterthought.

Clear pricing before moving day

Local hourly bookings have a two-hour minimum, then 30-minute billing blocks, at a rate that depends on the truck and crew your move needs. Travel from the pickup address to the delivery address is part of the paid moving time, and one call-out fee covers dispatching the truck and crew. Your written confirmation sets out the rate, the call-out fee and the agreed scope together.

The agreed truck and crew, moving equipment and packing materials used for your booking are included, including materials you keep. Packing, unpacking and putting belongings away are extra work charged at the agreed hourly rate when they are part of the scope. Rubbish and used-packaging removal is a separate service with time and disposal charges.

Stairs, long carries and heavy items change the time a move needs, and stairs can also change the hourly rate, so send access photos before booking. Nearby local moves are often booked without a deposit; a deposit may be required for a distant pickup and is required for interstate moves, with any amount agreed before you commit. See how your move is priced for the full explanation.

Important belongings and transport limits

Keep passports, money, jewellery, medication, keys, settlement papers, irreplaceable data and other valuables with you. SwiftMove cannot load gas bottles, flammables, aerosols or hazardous goods. Tell us before booking about pianos, safes, slate tables, workshop equipment and any item over 100 kg so the job can be assessed safely.

Read the current Terms for liability, exclusions and claims conditions. Tell us about high-value or fragile belongings before booking so the handling requirements can be assessed.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a Brisbane house move take?

A two-bedroom home often takes roughly four to six hours with two movers, while a three-bedroom whole-house move often takes around six to eight hours. Access, preparation, driving distance, volume and stairs matter more than bedroom count alone.

Can you move a large home over more than one day?

Yes, multi-day work can be discussed. Send the full inventory, available dates and any packing or unpacking requirements. We confirm a suitable schedule and resources for the agreed scope.

Do you always send two movers?

No. Two movers are common for local jobs, but the load, access and schedule can require a larger crew or multiple trucks. The team is selected for the booking rather than fixed by a bedroom count alone.

Do I need to dismantle furniture?

You can dismantle simple items before arrival, or ask SwiftMove to include basic disassembly and reassembly. Identify complicated, built-in, flat-pack or fragile pieces before booking so we can confirm what is practical.

Do I need to be present?

You or an authorised person must be available at pickup and delivery to confirm access, direct room placement and complete the final check.
