Seven working days, two trucks and a five-person team: how SwiftMove relocated a film company's warehouse, equipment and set structures from Albion to central Brisbane.
Moving an entire film-company warehouse is a different task from moving a few pieces of office furniture. In September 2025, SwiftMove relocated an Australian film company from Albion to central Brisbane over seven working days. The job involved two trucks and a five-person team, with working days typically lasting around 11 to 13 hours.
It was the largest project SwiftMove had undertaken at that point. The customer's identity, project photographs and price remain private. This account describes the work and the practical constraints without identifying the production or client.
What the relocation involved
The load included professional filming equipment, props, furniture and the contents of the company's warehouse. It also included large wooden set structures and dismantlable scenery. These were elements used for filming, not residential buildings being relocated.
Our team recalls approximately 28 truckloads, with loads estimated at around 42 cubic metres. That gives an indicative combined volume of about 1,176 cubic metres. This is an estimate reconstructed from the loads, not a measured inventory total. The same goods were not repeatedly transported to produce that figure.
The team and working schedule
The project began on 3 September 2025 and ran over seven working days. Two trucks and five people were allocated to the work. The crew composition changed once so that the previous team could rest. The daily time describes the working window of the job; it should not be read as seven days of uninterrupted driving or the hours worked by each individual.
Long days were part of this particular project, not a standard timetable we promise for future bookings. A new commercial relocation needs its own assessment of the load, access, staffing and realistic schedule.
The main challenge was maintaining careful handling
The difficult part was not only the quantity of material. The filming equipment and props were valuable, and the team had to keep handling them carefully throughout a demanding project. Maintaining attention across repeated loading and unloading mattered as much as the size of the trucks.
The experience reinforced why a large booking needs an assessment of the whole job: unusual items, the route between the loading point and storage areas, the number of loads and the people required to carry them out. Where a business wants cartons packed as well as moved, packing support is planned into the schedule rather than added on the day.

The relocation was completed across the seven-day project, and our team recalls a satisfied client. This is SwiftMove's account of the job rather than a published customer testimonial. No customer quotation or independent review is being attributed to this project.
The case demonstrates experience with a substantial commercial relocation. It does not establish a standard price per cubic metre or a promise that another warehouse can be moved in the same time. Two businesses with similar volumes may have very different access, equipment and handling requirements.
